We’ve been trying to get my brother out of jail for the past several days but we’ve had a hard time finding a company that can work with us. We really don’t have any money. I saw an ad for no collateral bail bonds and I was wondering if this means we can just get him out with a couple signers.
That’s not quite how no collateral bail bonds work. When you hire a Santa Rita Jail bail bonds company you’ll still need to pay 10% of their total bail amount to the bondsman as a fee. If his bail has been set at $20,000 your fee would be $2,000. Collateral is an item of value that would be put up to secure the bond. If the bondsman required collateral, based on the above example, you’d need to pay $2,000 and you would also need to put up an item that was valued at $20,000 (this is mostly done by putting up a house or a condo.)
