A man who is accused of setting Halloween costumes on fire at a local Wal-Mart has been arrested and booked at the Santa Rita Jail. The defendant’s full name has not been made public and his exact charges are unknown.
According to a report by Jewocity.com, in-store video surveillance footage shows the man taking a can of lighter fluid off one of the store’s shelves and then opening it, and leaking it around the Halloween items. He then set the fluid ablaze.
It’s unclear if the fire bug had any specific motive but law enforcement officials confirmed they were able to identify him, locate him and take him into custody. If the suspect does not post bail bonds he’ll have his first court appearance this week. On the other hand, if is as able to hire a bondsman his first court appearance will be pushed out by about a month.
Anyone who has more information about this crime is asked to call the authorities.
