Sources close to the Berkeley Police Department have confirmed that officers arrested two suspects who are believed to have been involved in a double shooting that took place late last year.
The men, one minor and one adult, will face a handful of felony charges. The 20 year-old suspect has been charged with suspicion of murder, assault with a firearm and second degree robbery.
The charges against the teenager have not been made public based on his age.
Sources within the Berkeley Jail said the older suspect was being held on a no bail bonds hold based on the severity of the crimes. This type of hold is not unusual when someone is charged with murder; it will be up to a judge to decide whether to allow the defendant to be released on jail bonds.
Berkeley PD officials have not said how they came to arrest the men or what information tipped them off as to their involvement in the alleged crime.
