A Livermore man who is accused of participating in a March 1 drive-by shooting that left two men dead was arraigned last week, according to sources at the Alameda County Courthouse.
Police said the initiating incident took place just over two months ago, when they received a call about a shooting that took place on Altamont Creek Drive. When they arrived they found two victims; one was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
The defendant, James Ware, was arrested by the Livermore Police Department after investigators received an anonymous tip. Ware was booked at the Santa Rita Jail on homicide charges; jailers also said he was being held for a probation violation.
The suspect’s bail bonds information was not immediately known but it’s believed the court has either set million dollar bail bonds. A no bail bonds hold may also be in place based on the nature and severity of the charges.
