The wife of the gunman of the Pulse nightclub attack has been arrested in California.
Thirty-year-old Noor Salman was taken into custody on January 16; authorities arrested her at her Northern California home, WFTV.com reports. Her neighbors said they’re not surprised the FBI is charging her.
Court documents show that Salman is being charged with aiding and abetting and obstruction of justice. She was booked at the Santa Rita Jail on federal charges; if the judge allows her the ability to post bond, she’ll need to hire a federal bail bonds company. Most Alameda County bail bonds companies, and Santa Rita Jail bail bonds companies do not provide federal bail bonds services.
“I want to thank the hard-working law enforcement officers from the local, state and federal levels for their continued dedication to help find answers to this horrific terrorist attack that killed 49 innocent people,” Florida Governor Rick Scott said in a statement. “I hope today’s news provides some comfort to the families who are mourning their loved ones.”
